Today's voicing is a nice altered dominant voicing.
In the musical example, I played a series of minor ii-Vs that resolve to BbMaj. This is similar to the chord sequence in the last 8 bars of the jazz standard - Stella By Starlight though in my example, the harmonic rhythm is much faster and occurs in 4 bars.
